I'm a Man?

Answering the question of what I would do if I woke up as the opposite gender has been really difficult.  This is not something I have ever thought of doing.  I think if this happened to me, I would be upset and want to change back as quickly as possible.

I like being a woman.  I like having a caring, nurturing side as opposed to a rough, tough side.  Don't get me wrong, there are definite plusses to being a male in our society, but being a woman has it's rewards as well.  In fact, studies show that in the United States, women live longer than men. Some of things that I enjoy about being a women, that are not experienced by men, include the joy of carrying life and becoming a mother, along with the fun of doing your makeup and hair.

But that doesn't really answer the question.  If I woke up as a man, I would go to the bathroom and stand up to pee.  Yes, I would simply stand up and pee!  Oh and then I would put the toilet seat down. That's important fellows.  Now it's time for me to figure out how to get back to being a female.

  1. This question really has changed my outlook on life as well though I haven't answered it in my blog post. Being a man for me has to be so much easier then being a women I in fact am glad peeing for us men is truly easy. Plus women go through child birth and menstruation which both are seemingly difficult to wrap my head around. Luckily God made us what we are today.

  2. I love that you said "put the toilet seat back down." It's one of my pet peeves. I think that you made good points in your post, there are many benefits that I've never put too much thought into. Even though being male might be easier, being a woman is a lot more rewarding.

  3. "The standing up to pee" comment reminded to me of potty training my baby boy. Whenever he pees, he sees that doing so makes bubbles. It thrills him! As a female, that doesn't really happen for us. Anyways, standing up to pee would make the whole public bathroom thing much more hygienic.

  4. I had the same experience with this question being something I have never really thought about before. It was hard for me to grasp my head around what it would feel like. I'm only 19, so I am not a mother yet, but I hope to be someday. I agree with the having the ability to bring a new life into the world is one of the greatest things about being a woman. Hopefully I will get to experience it some day.
